Here are four reasons why if you can afford it, you should donate to Kara Eastman in NE-02.
The 2020 election is far more significant than just deciding who the next President of the United States. Surprisingly, one of the most important races is this year’s slate is Nebraska’s Second congressional district between Progressive Challenger Kara Eastman and Republican Incumbent Don Bacon.
Today, I would like to talk to you about the four reasons why you should support Kara Eastman in her run to flip NE-02 Blue.
1.She is a champion of the people and is running on a bold Progressive agenda
Kara Eastman is quickly becoming a rising star within National Politics, the Democratic party, and the Progressive Movement. She is a unifier who can bring the Democratic Party and her district together during this extremely tough time with bold, progressive policies that will rebuild the middle class, address wealth inequality, and provide healthcare to all Americans.

2. Nebraska’s 2nd District is a winnable race.
At the moment, Kara is currently leading the Republican incumbent in the polls. However, the race is extremely close with Kara leading by only 1%.
The good news is that the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) has assigned NE-02 as a flippable district in 2020 and is offering support. The DCCC commitment makes this incredibly close race even more winnable. The fact the party is helping Progressive challengers to Republican Incumbents is a great way to unite the party moving forward.
3. The Democratic Party/ Democrats need to invest in Rural Areas
One of the biggest reasons that Trump and the GOP have been able to rise and hold power is due to the face the Democratic Party has abandoned Rural America. While Democrats have to abandon rural areas, Republicans have spent several cycles building their infrastructure and winning races here. The failure to invest in competing by Democrats in Rural Americans has resulted in years of losing municipal, County, State, Congress, and Senate seats across the country.
By donating to Kara Eastman, we can not only help increase her odds of winning this election. We can begin the process of winning these areas back and thus resulting in Democrats regaining seats and winning back majorities across the country.
4. It will help Joe Biden defeat President Trump.
As we speak, Joe Biden is currently leading Donald Trump by 11% in the district. By supporting and getting the vote out for Kara Eastman, it will also help Joe Biden get votes in that district.
You might be asking why a district in Nebraska important for the presidential election is? If Biden won the popular vote in NE-02, he would receive the district’s electoral vote.
Picking up an electoral vote in Nebraska would be a significant blow to Trump’s re-election odds. To put it in simplest terms, Trump can not afford to lose any electoral college votes in the heartland and still win re-election. Meaning a Kara Eastman victory can seal a Donald Trump defeat in 2020.
